The Beast Must Die (1974): Can You Solve a Werewolf Murder Mystery?
Here's a great horror setup:
Gather a group of people together.
Tell them one of them is secretly a werewolf.
Then make the audience figure out who it is.
That's The Beast Must Die (1974).
The movie mixes supernatural horror with an Agatha Christie-style mystery as wealthy hunter Tom Newcliffe gathers several guests at his isolated estate because he believes one of them is a werewolf.
It's such a wonderfully strange premise that the movie even gives viewers a chance to guess the werewolf's identity before the answer is revealed.
Forget Knives Out.
Give us Werewolves Out.
Night 5 of 30 Nights of Werewolves proves that the genre can be more than transformations and monster attacks.
